Thoughts on The Institution of Marriage

 

The problem with marriage is people are focusing on social status, money, property. While humans set up the system of marriage for completely other reasons. Care, affection, love, mutual respect, deep friendship. Mixing money, private property, social status, religious practices, casteism, misogyny in this pure natural companionship destroyed it. This might have been the first natural bond to get corrupted by human arrogance, ambition for wealth, social status.

 I think, either we must heal this institution or leave it altogether for a new gender equal, ethnically equal (preferably mixed ethnic), mutual consent respecting system reconnecting us to nature. Respect for all of nature, natural phenomena; loving kindness for all beings, empathy and care for all beings; healing of self and loved ones should be the foundation of such a system.

During these trying times on Mother Earth and resulting turmoils in socio economic conditions, this man is bringing us a feasible solution. It is worth a try if not anything else.
