The man sticking his tongue out is my Grandfather, Late Sri Arun Chowdhury playing his part as ring leader of a gang of friends in the film "Shoshur Bari" with his co-actors among whom Late veteran Bengali actor Anup Kumar is present in this photograph. This film was his next venture after "Paasher Bari" and this also went on to become a hit. The mood of the unit can be guessed from this photo taken just before the shooting of a scene. With on sets bonding like this no wonder the comedy film convinced the audience very much. In real life also my Late Grandfather was a fun loving freedom loving man, a responsible elder brother, husband and father and of course the first iconic person in my life.
Welcome to my blog - a window to my mind's weird musings and sometimes, sometimes engineering solutions to real world problems.
